They use superglue and baking soda to fix aircraft and propeller blades sometimes. The theory is the same. The baking soda (or noodles) has a very large surface area so it dries rapidly producing a lot of heat (sometimes enough to burn skin with baking soda). Then the combination of particles and glue is similar to cement or glass filled plastics – they produce a significantly stronger material than either on their own, and can be used to fill a surface like a hole in a propeller blade.
Baking soda is a lot stronger and would be recommended, but noodles or flour or other small particles can legitimately be used if that is all one has to hand.
