Aug 2021: Bought a 2010 Toyota Venza V6, with 118K miles; out the door with Credit Union GAP, 3 year full coverage ins on engine and tranny for $12,385.00
Sold old car for $2k, so $10,385.00. You tell me, did I get a deal in these days and times? Yes, I overpaid, but not nearly as bad as what I see the same car going for now with nearly 90K more miles than mine. Cheapest I've found a 2010 Venza within 100 miles of me is $16k.
I want a F150 or Tundra, but I'll wait while keeping the mileage low on this Venza. Back in August all the F150's and Tundra were already out of my price range, today OMG! If it's on a lot, they start at $19k with over 200k miles and at least 9 years old plus.
I got in under the wire and got my Toyota just before it went up to 5k more than I paid for it

Got 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz SEL 2wd for $36g and I don't feel like I got screwed as I did when I drove off the lot. Now that the cost just jumped up at dealerships so much, I'm starting to feel like I got a score.
I drive 2004 Tundra junker that uses lots of gas🤷🏻♂️trying to keeping it going for another 15 years 😂
Honestly I’m glad I still own my 2001 VW Golf GTi VR6 I bought brand new on the showroom floor years ago.
My country is slightly different as we saw increasing consumer spending during lockdown and massive increases in food and house prices during the pandemic. Inflation is nearly 6%. Also another record year level of new and used car purchases, with now a 6 month wait to buy a Toyota.
Sounds like it is Nissan's time to shine if they're ever going to. Now would be the time to out sell and out do all the rest. Be best and leave Ford and GM in the dust.
