What about piston to cylinder wall clearance. I don’t think you will be able to find .004 larger pistons.

You lost me the moment I saw the head blank bolted to the engine during honing. I understand why people claim you should do it but I feel it's a very bad practice and should not be done.

Those old ammco tools are the best. I used an ammco two post lift at my first dealership job and an ammco brake lathe there as well.

Are you going to be able to keep the factory size pistons after this ? Would the bore not be too big and cause too much slop now?
