Hi Scotty, what do you think about the VW Golf mk 4 and 2007/2008 Jetta (Petrol engines)

  3. Willi Claus

I got an aftermarket lift pump for my 2012 Duramax as they don't come with one from the factory

  4. Fred Smith

I always buy diesel. You're a talking head.

VW diesels are usually pretty good. I think they are all made in Europe and they can last a very long time. The bad thing is that parts can be really expensive and they aren't always easy to get. Back when I was in college this guy had an early Rabbit diesel with over 300,000 miles and it was still going strong. Most of that was highway miles but still there are a lot of cars out there that won't go near that even if it's highway mileage.

I managed to get a 2001 golf TDI with 95k miles.

Scotty, like your channel,I check a 2008 ford 4×4 ranger truck,I looked and swiped inside the exhaust tail pipe and did not find any oil ,it was dry and clean, however, when i started then let it idle for a few minute thenafter found water or antifreeze dripping from the muffler and tail pipe, could it be a blown head gasket, the weather that day was warm and dry.

I'm your subscriber from Portugal and I like to listen and learn from you, but when it comes to European cars you have no idea what you're saying. for ex this car does not have a high pressure pump, and it is cheap to maintain. one of the best european engines….sorry.
