Gotta get those leaves out of the cowl area on that Avalon. That stuff will clog up the cabin air filter prematurely.
Scotty, are there any other honest mechanics that you'd recommend? Especially for folks that live outside of your state.
I would love for Scotty to go to that shop with the customer and call them out. I can imagine they won't say anything and walk away with their heads down in shame.
At 6:20–6:21 I'm sure Grandma never took off from a stop like that, unless she was the "Little Old Lady from Pasadena" with a Super Stock Dodge parked in her rickety old garage!

4:47 $89 for changing air filter?? LOL!! IT TAKES LESS THAN A MIN TO CHANGE!
If you think that's bad, I was once quoted $65 for the belt, and $101 labor to replace a serpentine belt on a crown vic hahahahaha. That belt can be changed in like 5 minutes
The other $300 was to vacuum the leaves.
Dropped my car off at Firestone for an alignment. They called me a few hours later saying they couldn’t do an alignment because my control arm was “missing a bolt”. I brought it home and found the bolt stripped off, clean cut. Brought it back, showed them, they wouldn’t admit fault… brought it to a local mechanic and they said no way it could have fallen off.
