Only Volkswagen I would probably buy would be the older ones like the golf 2003
Scotty the 1980's Toyota Corolla's are rare as anything over here in the UK hence why the price increase. A lot of them rusted away due to salty roads in the winter or were scrapped in scrappage schemes. Toyota Celica's are also becoming rare in the UK and are creeping up in value.
When I was doing Government Agent work for ASIO in Australia a few years ago I was driving a VW Passat. It broke down more times than it was driving so they gave me a GMC Caprice and it never broke down once. It was the luxury addition and it was like a limo. I can't understand why GMC in Australia stopped building them. Take Care, David Matherson
