Owner thinks he is a design engineer removing the mufflers

  2. MegaSlowe

Why would you remove the mufflers on a Lexus? Kinda defeats the whole point.

  3. Alan Nguyen

I have a 07 IS250 and I had a Greddy muffler installed and I noticed the car running richer and worse MPG so I put the original mufflers back on. The car was tuned for the original mufflers, they'll often run best with original mufflers.

Hope u and yours had a great Christmas Scotty

He should have kept the muffler installed, not remove muffler. He could have made his car louder for his own enjoyment without disturbing other people by reducing sound deadening mats between front interior and engine bay.

Scotty, will the ECU on a 2007 Tundra be able re-calibrate and compensate for the 4 catalytic converters being removed? The truck would still have mufflers, but I am wonder what the pros and cons would be if the cats were replaced by exhaust pipe.
    Thanks

great vid as usual Scotty what year did you say this Lexus was that model was launched for the 2005 Model year and is currently in its 4th generation

  8. Mohapi Tau

I agree, this is a non-issue & I'd also live with it. Especially considering that the exhaust note sounds very cool
