Just wanted to throw this out there. I have a 2012 F150 with a 3.5l Ecoboost. It has an electric vacuum brake booster on it because the Ecoboost doesn't produce enough vacuum for the brakes to operate correctly.
I was told it's due to the twin turbos. The mustang may have similar issues.

Take it to another dealer those guys haven’t a clue most are only parts replacers under warranty repairs when ford tells them what’s wrong with the car
That happened on my 1996 ford Thunderbird put a New master cylinder on problem solved
Thats why I do the troubleshooting myself and if its a part that's too complicated to replace myself I bring it to the mechanic.
