    A common problem he seems to run into is massive corrosion due to road salt. That adds up to major costs for a car owner. Don't they have sand or some other material they can use?

    Same thing, but on my gas filler tube at the tank on a Ford Expedition. A bad clamp.

    Tell them not to exceed radiator cap pressures 16psi you can damage components.
    Check that outlet for cracks too.

    Inform the customer then disable it and push it out.
    If you want to fix the leak that's up to you.
