In this video we’ll learn the best way to sand primer for painting. Dry Sanding Primer is sometimes better then wet sanding but we’ll let you be the judge which is best. Car Restoration can be a big job unless you know how to DO IT YOURSELF!

Thanks D.I.Y. Auto School for the videos and tutorials. And thank you My Friend Pete for taking the time out of your busy schedule to show us the tricks of the trade. With the knowledge that I have learned from watching your videos I'm going to attempt to repair a bedside panel on my 2004 Dodge Dakota. I'm going to cut out the rust and weld in a patch panel. Can I ask your advice on something ? First I'm thinking about doing a flange weld on the panel, second I'm going to need to do this over a couple of weekends since this is my daily driver and I work 6 days a week and I was wondering if I could drill holes in the flange and temporarily hold it in place with rivets so that way I have my truck to drive. Or would that just mess everything up?

Pete that video was just so good it really answered my questions from other videos thank you so much. Understanding the grit equivalence between wet and dry sanding is so important and I understand it now thanks to you Pete. Best wishes from Australia.
