I don’t rate any of these trickle charges.
These things can mask other problems such as a battery drain. I refuse to use them.
If your car sits a long time then if the battery goes dead it’s your own fault. Cars are not made for sitting for extended periods.
I do not trust leaving a trickle charger set for weeks on end. Nope 👎

Scotty, as a mechanic myself as well, I honestly share your frustration with engineers. I cannot count the number of dumb designs I have had to correct, it's beyond ridiculous at this point, it is downright sad and frustrating.

A lot of SUV'S have a live lighter connections in the back, or rewire the cigarette lighter direct. I have been doing this for 25 years its the best ever and I have had batteries last 7/8 years
