You asked for a funny AC story, so here goes….. I once had a car with AC so cold. I dropped my cousin off at work. When she got out some hot, humid air came into the car. When I drove off I noticed "smoke" coming from the vents. I got scared and pulled over thinking something was on fire inside the dash. It was just the cold air mixing with the hot air.

Had a 94 Ford Taurus that always had AC problems. Used to seem like Ford's had the worst AC. Don't know if that is still the case.

I have a 2011 Kia Optima. When I turn the AC on, the car starts to have a noticeable rough idle. It also seems like the car drives a little sluggish as well while it’s on. I recently went to the dealer for scheduled maintenance to have the spark plugs replaced. I brought up this issue as well and they said it was normal for the mileage that I have (almost 107,000 miles). I brought this up here to get your opinion on what this issue could be because I don’t think it’s normal like the dealer said. It still blows cold. It also made a “whirling” sound once when I turned it on, but it has only happened once.
