These are not bad repairs, they are people who are making it and surviving
That is some seriously terrible music!
Often the worst repairs are the best option at the time. Some even improve on the original design, like those silly inside door lock buttons that you can't get a decent hold on a lot of the time – drop in a wood screw and it's easy to grab (yes i know they're to deter thieves, but do they, really?). the grub screw clamps on the broken coil spring were pretty impressive! – bet that got someone out of a big jam (at 5 km/h lol!)

It’s like Pikeys. Thieving during the early hours is harder than making a legal living. Some of these things are brill but easier to do it properly
