New camera Scotty? I see you differently.
One time my husband and I were getting ready to go on a 10 hour road trip to visit family, I didn’t have time to do an oil change so I just took our truck in to get it done… I know it’s only like a 20 minute job, but I still took it in, it took them 2 hours.. they tried to tell me we had an oil leak up on our manifold.. told them huh that’s weird wasn’t like that before, the guy shut up and said oh well would you like us to top off your fluids (antifreeze and wiper fluids) I told them yeah that would be fine because we leave in 4 days.. topped it off, spent $80 and went on my way, next day I pull into a friends driveway, and there’s steam coming out of our truck so I turn the truck off and pop the hood to find I have coolant all over the place, trying to figure out where it’s coming from I start the truck back up and look at the radiator, I found a pin size hole in the front of the radiator about 3 inches down from the seal… truck was fine the day before, with no leaks. I call them up, and they try to tell me it’s wear and tear. HA I bitched them out and said how it’s not on the seal, and where the exact location that it was leaking from could not have had a rock or anything hit it. There’s also Nothing rubbing on it, so therefore you guys did this, the Guy stuttered, then told me to bring it in so they could replace it for another $500, I told him no, and said I’ll do it myself, just like I should have done with my own oil change… then hung up..
And people wonder why I just do things myself..

Mechanic scams are everywhere.
hunger for money will make them do what ever they can to fill their pockets…

I has a free brake inspection done atLes Schwab quoted, me $850 for rear drum brakes on my 96 Silverado, told me my axle seals we're leaking too. Just needed shoes and the spring kit, $60 did it in the driveway. My axle seals we're fine

I remember one time i was looking for a spare tire replacement(i bought a used car that didn't come with it) and decided to call a dealer for a replacement and they told me the replacement would cost me a thousand dollars… smh, i told them with that money i could buy four new regular tires!
