fiber glass cloths r good but da fiber glass mat has more strength than da cloths
I cannot find this particular 3m kit online? where can i find and purchase the 3m set up kit?
Needness self promotion but still cool
Question I have a protégé5, Mazda SP20 and the bottom lip that bolts on the bumper is broken (the clips that secure them to the bottom of the bumper are broken – missing) can I use fibreglass on the underside of the lip and adhere it to the bumper (you wont see it as the lip overhangs the bottom of the bumper) will fiberglass stick to plastic bumper ?, it would be a much easier way to just lay the glass in between the lip and the bumper and just resin it in, but it has to stay secure. or is glue a better option. Thanks
you can buy a qt of acetone for cleaning , a qt of resin/hardener at hardware store get cheap paint brushes and nitrile gloves at Harbor Frt. i get diff types of mat at paint store that carry diff types of fiberglass mat as the patterns are diff for diff jobs. I dont like this type that he is using- it makes a mess and harder to handle than other types without the hairs going all over. u will need scissors and clean rags and about 2-3 clean, metal, cheap buckets for clean up. Have fun.
i am glad he is not doing my job.
lol "wax and grease with Wax and Grease Remover"
This guy doesn't realize its REMOVING wax an grease.. he thinks he's waxing and greasing the part with a "remover". Man this is funny to listen to.
Why can't I find this exact product anywhere?
Massive downvote from me, with good FG layup, you don't need any filler on top of the repair. And damn, that guy said at least 4 times in this video: WAX AND GREASE WITH WAX AND GREASE REMOVER. How on earth do you wax and grease with it if it's a remover of mentioned substances? And if you're going to have any grease or wax on the part, then good luck doing any layup, muppets! Shame on you!
Oh that music. My ears are bleeding!
