It always surprises me when people mention changing an oil filter, like wtf, don't you guys do that every oil change? Because to me it's common knowledge that if you're doing an oil change, you change the filter too.
Fuel filter bro. 4 things. Oh and spark plugs
Almost clocking 400k km in my toyota
Acura TL 2008 with 220,000 miles runs like new.. I follow the routine Scotty is recommending. Full silicone oil (Super tech from Walmart like $17 per 5 quarts) and new oil filter every 7500 miles per Acura digital schedule. Air filter change as needed but rarely in winter months with very little dust in the air. I love this car it will probably get over 500,000 miles on it.
My 2003 Ford Windstar is pushing 217,000 miles, and still runs great with no hesitation barking the tires!
How many miles does your celica have?
Is a bigger oil filter better
"I'm not going to teach you a God damn thing, you can watch though"
Changing your oil without the filter is like taking a bath and putting your dirty underwear back on.
1999 Subaru with 215K miles. Harsh environment. I change oil and oil filter every 5K. Air filter every 15K. I do these myself. Every 30K I have a mechanic check it over. Every 60K I have a mechanic check it over and replace the timing belt. So far so good.
