    I remember cars starting around 1970 and I was a corvette fan but me being so young then I thought the “Baby Corvette “ would be perfect for me as a go cart.

    I'm sorry, but getting the engine to run like that isn't too much of an accomplishment. That car is far from road worthy. Opel GT's were notorious rust buckets and those cars have lots of issues that need to be addressed. I restored one in the mid 80s and it was a mess.
