Unscrew the oil filler cap and check underneath the cap itself for white (milky) gunge. This is a sign of water getting in, possible oil leak or head gasket issue.
Tires and brakes are definitely top 2 priorities for me… thats $1600 right away.

Today I looked at a 2002 Saturn L200 what iwould be the cause of the corrosion on the aluminum surfaces? It looks like hard water stains. Also, I noticed the same corrosion on the trans lines that are attached to the firewall.
