Thanks for the useful tips
I like the idea of using the POR 15 on glass fibre. I would make the following additions. 1. cut away as much rust as posible. 2. Use a rust converter first before sealing. 3. Hammer the corners of the hole in to create a depression so that your glass is lower than the surroundings. 5. use an epoxy filler and sand it back so it looks the neat. 5. primer surfacer. 6. Paint, say base and clear.
Also, if you need the holes there, create a template of the holes before cutting out. Use aluminium perf sheet and glue in there before the glass. Come back and drill the holes once the area is filled and sanded.
I plan to do similar with KBS rust seal 3 step system.
POR 15 is not rust paint it is a rust converter. Once applied it sets up so hard that you will never be able to sand it off. That repair should last you quite a while.
The title of the video is "How to without welding." This is a good video for none expert repair people. Thanks
Rust is like mould, if you see it on the outside it's already spread on the inside.
This worked perfect on my ex gf

Easiest way to repair rust…
Hey brother I appreciate the effort you went to to get this video up. You have more technical savvy and ambition than I do. As many have said this is not the ideal repair, but I don't think that was your intention.
Maybe someone in this same position doesn't have a clue how to weld, or have a welder or even a place do "proper" body work. For those folks this information is useful and helpful and you deserve an ataboy for puttin this together. I've used this 'repair" technique in the past myself. Is it ideal? Hell no! but it gets the job done. As long as anyone using this technique understands that this is only as stop gap measure I say go for it. Good job man.
Which por15 are you using can't see a clear shot of the can
