seeing the end of the vid you can see on camera where the repair was done. THATS ON CAMERA. I would ugh over seeing in with my own eyes. But then again this is the quality you get from insurance job type know how and "technology". Do you think/feel you would trust this guy to paint your 56 jag, a 69 camaro or a 2016 with a scratch? Charge you for steps and not knowledge? Rip you off like the insurance based shops are notorious for?

My '17 124 Spider got keyed along 3 panels, and it's THAT EXACT COLOR… I've been watching a LOT of Vids on Scratch Repair.. I'm going to paint it myself…. Fiat Meteor Gray / Mazda Meteor Mica… and I've noticed That Chrysler color is the same too.. Only people I have ever known that can tell , Or even care that a cars factory paint has been touched up are usually paint guys… I could care less if the paint is EXACT… as long as the scratches are gone….

Looks good! Just out of curiosity, what kind of coverage do you get from those spray cans? I am looking at doing both cab corners and rockers on my extended cab pickup. Thanks.

Ok so question. I was taught when painting sides of cars, you need to spray bottom up, not top down, to avoid sagging….?? Just wondering if that was just for the old style paints?

Help please I'm going to be doing something like this on my Lexus LS 460. I need to fix a spot that's on each of my front doors. The question I have is if I clear coat the whole door which I already have a mirror finish on will I be able to achieve a mirror finish again by doing a whole lot of wet sanding? Alternatively should I just keep it to a very small area of clear coating and then try just blending it with the USC spraymax blender if not I'll have to remove most of my inner door to get off the door handle and the mirror.

do you not sand off the base coat to smooth it out?

I just finished removing rust, filling a fairly small set of dents, and scratches, and repainting. This video was invaluable. And the tip about using SprayMax 2K Clearcoat. paid off! I got a better result thn I dreamed possible. I also discovered that SprayMax 2K will keep at least 1.5 weeks if you refrigerate it after activation! Good to know.
