Pete, its actually just the opposite. The heat makes it expand, then the cool water shrinks it back. Sucks it back in. Its just basic thermodynamics. But what youre doing works, youre just saying it backwards. Thanks for your video. Youre great.
Pete what kind of buffing pad do you use. I don't like foam pads.
Instead of a wet rag, what about just blowing some air on the weld to cool it. Can you control your mouth with the F-words too. My young son likes watching body repair vids too and I'll probably have to find someone with a cleaner mouth, which would be a shame because your vids are actually freakin awesome. See a nicer F-word costs nothing.
rubber !!!!!
A Civic is similar to a Yugo: junk. 45 mpg or not, it isn't worth a buck in my book. I can see Honda folks laughing like crazy seeing their 42 year old car being restored. They must have made a million of them. VW John is right- it is a throwaway car after it's given its all. Your work is worth 4 or 5 times the original cost, as you've virtually rebuilt the car. Your work looks great.
He talks more then anything
Cool I have a 76 Civic CVCC I need to restore in my garage. Yep metal is junk and rusted in the usual corners. Your tutelage is greatly appreciated.
who would want to waste money restoring that honda?
i love your work pete i wish i could have your expert hand paint up my 1989 supra
