Sounds to me like a lot of commenters here have taken Epsom Salts themselves.

That electrolyte after so many years will be so close to ph neutral it is not funny.
Think about all the fruit, Citrus, Ants as well and many other things that have acid in them. I know it is a different acid but it still ACID, I don't here many complaining about that in the environment!
