A quick video that follows a rust repair I did on my daughter’s car. The right way of dealing with rust is cutting it out and welding new metal in, no other method …

Better idea than epoxy is Sn+Pb cover. After then good primer and finish…

What about the rust arrestors that chemically bond with the rust and "arrest it"? Also, rust like that can be prevented by pouring a couple of ounces of any kind of oil inside the door.

Why do Mftrs put little shelfs and ODD lips folds or drain holes, where it makes NO sense at all? Because they KNOW it's going to create a rust problem. Your car intentionally rusts out , You buy another. It's why everything is made cheaply w/ plastic where it should be a $0.25 metal part/screw/ bracket. It could be flush or the plastic fender well extended( there's a little gap that collects dirt salt). They FORCE you to buy more. If things were made to last they couldn't keep soaking you. It's why right hand parts are more expensive………it's the side that gets most damaged in accidents. That little window cost 5X's the regular ……….It's the one you figure is cheapest and break when you lose your keys.Do you thing today's tech couldn't prevent most problems? Demand better America.

do you have to be licensed to actually fabricate your own wheel well etc… especially as a business?? arent there structural regulations for the shaping/machining process… also this goes for the material you used… was effort put in to find the right standard of steel for mechanical regulations and stuff??

I have a 66 VW Bus that someone long ago did a horrible bondo job on, The rust is all surface rust underneath. Is there a product that you would recommend to put on the metal after I sand it down? Eventually I will repaint the whole thing, but currently just want to prevent it spreading. Thanks.
