👎 Won't work with any VW/Audi 1.6 FSI engine, as the dipstick tube is too narrow. Never seen these extract all the oil in any case. Bit of a con. Better off doing it the old fashioned way.

For starters, I used a similar machine to change 6 quarts of Transmission Fluid and it worked like a charm, I would recommend using it for this purpose. I add,,, this Channel-Guy's engine Oil looks Very Dirty and any Oil change would have been better than it was. I agree with many others commenters in that, if you are able to get to the Oil Plug drain plug of the engine, fairly easily, then use the drain plug and drain your Oil instead and also change your Oil Filter. (On a time recommended Oil change, you should also always change the Oil filter). However, on some cars though, and for Car Buffs, and I'm sure there are people out there that wish to keep their motor oil crystal clean, may wish to change their oil more frequently than the time recommended. So, if you change your Oil every few thousand miles on a perfectly tuned engine, and choose not to change the Oil Filter for another few thousand miles, this Oil Pump may be just the Tool for you! Again, I've used it on Trans Oil and it worked Great and was also Kinda Fun!

You got 90% oil out of the engine but 10% oil stuck underneath the filter/tank. And Don't forget to reset the Odometer.

What about the cars without oil dipstick? My friend has a Merc C 220cdi sportcoupe from 2005, would that way damage anything?
    Many thanks

My battery is in my boot, will the flex go that far ??

I would use this pump to empty a little bit of oil out of the sump if too much oil was accidentally added when topping up. But not to do an oil change

You still have to wait for the engine to cool down to change the oil filter, then refill with engine oil. If the filter in under the engine.
