Non-dealer shops and mechanics are just as expensive as dealers without the complimentary rentals or nice waiting areas with complimentary water and coffee. There are no cheap and good high quality mechanics anymore. Labor and vehicle parts have skyrocketed.
YouTube has been a great help trying to save money 🤑
My dude…breathe
It be awesome if Scotty would make a list of trustworthy mechanics in towns around the US. That would help everyone
Some dealers are $270 an Hour and up
my Honda bike is due a 4000 mile service. check lights, indicators, tyre tread, chain, throttle(twist it all the way back and make sure it springs back closed) oil and filter! £550!! I can do all the checks while the oil is draining, cost £100!!
Scotty, back in the day, my boss was going out of town and told me to take his care to a known local mechanic. I did, they called me and said they fixed evy but one thing. That one thing was still under warranty and told me to come get the car & take it to the Oldsmobile Dealer.
Now that is how honest a good independent shop can be.
Oh this was in Southwest Houston.
People still complain about price, even if you do cheap labor. It's like they want oem quality parts and free labor.
My mechanic charges about $40 an hour.
Thank u so much sir Scotty bcoz I learn a lot from u, thanks a bunch for sharing ur knowledge. We love you 🫰🫰🫰🙌 from Manila Ph 👏👏👏👏
