I thought, at least for the US market, Mitsubishi left the American car market….
But, part of me says that while we can say that muscle cars are unsafe, I think it's the drivers that make them unsafe. I mean technically, you could skew the results if people drove Toyota Corollas like maniacs and got killed. So part of it is the cars, and part of it is the people driving those cars. You could probably argue that other cars like the Subaru WRX is also a "dangerous" car because people think they're race cars in some places. I mean it is true that we could argue that cars like the Corvette or the Charger/Challenger have so much power, people (your average person) doesn't know how to control a car with that much power, as it does take some skill to control a powerful car at high speeds, particularly if you're dong things like road racing.
