John from To the Garage shares his thoughts on what to look for and consider when building up your own DIY mechanics toolset. This time related to ratchets and sockets.
If you are just getting into working on your own vehicles, or are looking to expand and improve your current toolbox, John shares his experience on what is necessary and what is nice. The conversation makes a nod toward the Jaguar XK8 XKR X100 where appropriate (johns favourite car) but applies across all cars and vans built since the 90s.
None of the tools used in this video were supplied by manufacturers or retailers, and no sponsorship of any form has taken place. So you can be sure that the opinions expressed are solely John’s.
This is the second in a series of videos that will work through the full spectrum of garage tools that the Keen DIY enthusiast would benefit from.
