The Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster ute will be officially unveiled at the upcoming Goodwood Festival of Speed, along with a demonstration of the brand’s forthcoming hydrogen fuel-cell technology.

The 2024 Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster four-wheel-drive ute – which will compete directly with the Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series in Australia – is set to be officially unveiled at the Goodwood Festival of Speed event, which starts on the 13 July 2023.

While this double-cab ute variant of Ineos Grenadier has recently been spotted without any camouflage on European roads during a validation drive, this official unveiling is an important step in the process for this new ute to arrive on Australian roads.

Ineos Automotive had previously signed a cooperation agreement with Hyundai to share fuel cell powertrain technology, but Drive understands more details on the hydrogen-fuelled powertrain will be announced on 13 July.

Australia has been identified as a key market for the forthcoming Grenadier Quartermaster ute by Ineos executives, both locally and abroad, citing strong local demand for vehicles like the Toyota LandCruiser 79 Series, Toyota HiLux and Ford Ranger.

Local boss Justin Hocevar has previously told Drive the Grenadier ute is slated to arrive in Australia by the end of the year, pending any delays on the production and shipping processes.

This news comes amidst a delayed rollout of the Grenadier four-wheel-drive wagon in Australia, with first customers currently taking delivery of their Grenadier vehicles in June. This is later than the April date originally quoted by Ineos, with the company citing port congestion as a main contributor to delays.
