If you only need A to B transport FWD is fine & will save you money.
If you have a job that requires you to get there no matter what AWD is a must & requires no thought or prep.
As a city dweller I have no use for 4WD but can see occassions where it may be handy.
Alot of AWD vehicles are not full time AWD. My Q50 is RWD unless it encounters a condition that warrants AWD. It detects the slippage and then diverts accordingly
My sister and Brother in law bought an Audi..
My Brother in law thinks he knows everything about European cars because he is from Poland..
Audi's like BMW's are a money pit..
I tried to tell them what to stay away from, but he had to have his luxury new Foreign Car.
After the warranty went out, so did their money in repairs and my sister blamed me for the battery dying in their Audi 4 days before they came back from a 3 month vacation in Europe..
The car then was 5-1/2 years old..
Sister read online the battery suppose to last 10 years.
Even after i educated her about batteries, it was still my fault..
It cost her $425 to replace 5-1/2 year old battery through AAA battery service..
Being in Canada I like having AWD on my car with the snow
