Btw, I laugh at this also because otherwise it would make me cry: here I’ve seen things like the Stockholm syndrome of a man whose brother was executed by Saddam Hussein and still considers the dictator a martyr, the awful misogyny of many Muslims too, especially religious leaders, and their narrow-mindedness, also due to many stupid and absurd traditions (I’m not saying that all Muslims are like that or that non-Islamic people can’t be like that; I always criticize and try to fight sexism and every other form of discrimination and bigotry in my daily life in Italy, which is plenty of these things, just like any other place in the world); on the other hand, I heard a man who stood up against the massacre of Syrian children and a woman who confronted an old male repeating the same old victim blaming bullshit about arousing etc., and I couldn’t be happier to see something like that and someone like them too.
