Most definitely the best looking cohost you have ever had.
First hack just made it wet. As soon as it dries it'll be cloudy again. This is because the moisture made the oxidised surface temporarily smooth. The only way to actually fix this is with sandpaper, then polish with a rotary buffer, to physically smooth the plastic.

the first hack is just generic cleaner cleans, bicarb + acid. bicarb (aka baking soda) + vinegar/lemon juice is the oldest cleaning hack in the book, so much so it's moved from hack to common knowledge right?
Lemon = alkaline acidic. Baking soda= Neutralizes acid and alkaloids. Conclusion = using a powder substance with a sticky lubricant to wet sand polish your headlight lenses. Done.
