i cant agree with this more; i remember when i was starting to get my licence & watching tons of motorcycle videos, and everyone would talk about moto-therapy. i thought it was all a bit dramatised, though i believed i understood how it felt- i found riding my bicycle helped me when i was stressed. but now that im riding frequently, it's literally become the thing i look forward to most on a work day, and whenever im stressed, going for rides has helped me more than anything ive ever tried from years of therapy.

ive got surgery coming up soon and I won't be able to ride for 3 months afterwards- and i think that scares me more about the recovery than any other source of anxiety. ive barely been riding for a year, but I can't even imagine life without it anymore. really interesting to hear about the memory issues too, because I've had issues with that all of my life- fingers crossed riding will help significantly! i definitely know the layout of my city better now than ever before 😄

Some like to say that a motorcycle isn't a suitable substitute for a therapist and psychiatric meds. I've dealt with both, and I say there is NO WAY IN HELL either can replace a motorcycle.

Dopamine at twist of the wrist and subconscious reality that your other problems are probably nothing vs the problems cause by a motorcycle accident. Insomnia, after riding all day in the heat and I sleep like a baby.

Enjoyed the talk guys..yeah, motorcycles once experienced get in your system for life.. always there ..I’ve tried to figure out why but now I just take it as a given and enjoy listening to others talking about it.. it’s great.. 😎

It is very real that it is great for your mental health. I lost the love of my life this past Christmas… had to wait till spring to start back into riding. My mental state is so much better after a ride. It has been a life saver for me.

This is so true! Wind therapy, I call it. My bike has been in the shop for 2 weeks. My blood pressure, anxiety and stress are all up.
