The most revealing photos yet of the hybrid replacement for the Lamborghini Aventador V12 supercar have appeared online, ahead of its unveiling in the coming weeks.

More photos of the successor to the Lamborghini Aventador V12 supercar – which may be named the 2023 Lamborghini Revuelto – have surfaced online, ahead of its unveiling due by the end of next month.

Images published by @automotive_mike on social media platform Instagram (via @cochespias) show what appears to be a 3D digital illustration of the new Lamborghini, in its final form with no disguise.

It wears Lamborghini’s latest Y-shaped headlight and tail-light signatures – as seen on the two aforementioned cars – and a pair of bold twin-exit exhausts.

Lamborghini has previously confirmed its new flagship supercar will be powered by an all-new, non-turbo V12 petrol engine, combined with a plug-in hybrid system.

Power is expected to be in line with, or exceed the 574kW of the final Aventador, the Ultimae LP770-4, and improve upon its 2.9-second 0-100km/h time and 350km/h top speed.

Reports via trademark filings indicate the new Lamborghini V12 may be named Revuelto, which translates as “unruly” (though it is also the name of a Spanish dinner dish involving scrambled eggs).

The new Lamborghini V12 hybrid supercar is due for unveiling before the end of March 2023.

It represents the start of a switch to electrified power for Lamborghini, which plans to adopt a hybrid-only line-up by the end of 2024 – including the successor to the smaller Huracan, and a plug-in hybrid Urus SUV – ahead of its first electric car due in 2028.
