Well, didn’t think it would (or could!) ever happen…….. but I finally took the bull by the horns and got myself a Harley to review!
I am a hardcore sportbike rider – everything from Ducatis to Bimotas to Triumphs to anything Japanese…….. could I possibly have my opinion changed on a Harley?
We had ice, we had rain, we had temperatures in the 20s – not to mention motorways, town and some of the twistiest roads in Europe. Over 320 km’s in a day – has a Harley ever been reviewed this thoroughly in a day??? 😉

I am Italian , I live in the UK, I have own hondas, suzukis, kawasakis and a ducati. All great bikes, but my 851 biposto was simply too expensive to keep (at the time I did not have a great paid job, I had just left the Navy…). I am not too keen on sports bikes, I like the performance but not the riding position… Now I am 55 , I have a harley sport glide….. I love it. Easy to ride, lots of torque, lots of fun, easy maintenance. It is not a sport bike at all, I think it rides a bit like my old 650 africa twin…. Nice and easy to ride, it will get me everywhere I want to go (as long as there is tarmac…). Brakes? Not great, but a little better than my old suzuki dr750 big. Harley owners? Well, they are just people, some are nice, others are not. I wear some harley clothings, but I simply love to ride wearing t-shirt, jeans and trainers. The only real problem is the english weather!!!
