Should specify to use oil resistant silicone not just generic silver stuff. Also check the capacity not filled to the level of the fill plug that can result in overfilling

Holding your torque wrench there is not giving you the proper torque. You should’ve just used a ratchet at that point. Hold the handle properly to achieve the set torque.
