I had a '91 Ranger that I bought in Yuma, Arizona, so the dash cracked and curled like a bag of potato chips, but it ran great. It had the 3 Liter V6 and a 5 speed trans. The first thing I had repaired was the A/C. The parts were reasonably priced, and the labor was reasonable also because of the ease of working on it. I added side rails to the bed, as I was managing some apartments. The tenants would leave a lot of trash behind, and often people would dump things on our property. The 3L engine was great for hauling, and driving on the freeways in San Diego. It was a convenient size for driving around the city and parking, and I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately I had to sell it because my knees have gotten really bad, and I could not step on the clutch. The 3Liter is a good engine, and so is the 4Liter.

I had a ‘93 Ranger XLT with a 4.0L V-6, AT, and 3.08 gears. On the highway, I’d get 20+ mpg, and once got 24. Unfortunately, it rotted away, but it was a great little pickup that I had for over 200K miles.
It has a Mazda manual transmission and its very good one

30 year old Ford truck, with original timing belt, tyranny, clutch, engine, radiator, 23 mpg, 132,000 miles??? Love it!!!!
I liked my 1971 Monte Carlo 350 hp because I could climb into the engine compartment and have room to work on the engine…
