I remember the time I got my first car, my dad goes oh I know this reliable mechanic go get your oil change there. Guy does the oil change and goes yea $100. I go sir, clearly it says 30 for oil change, "oh but we change your air filters it's normal for every oil change, did this, checked that". I was having none of it and I said well I didn't ask for it so either I'll consider it a gift or take them out. I saw the salty look on his face and he was thinking its a kid we can rip him off. These guys are crooks if you let them do w.e to fix your car or routine check ups.
I like to drink the shot of whiskey and pack up the Hash Pipe with Rocky and get all schmoked up while watching the Scotty Kilmers videos
I got offered a warranty when I bought a Tacoma. Nope.
Why should dealerships exist instead of car manufacturers directly selling their cars?
When this happens, the best thing a customer can do is go on social media and tell the world who ripped them off.

Just happened to my 89 years old father: went in for an oil change and came back with a bill for $1400 of “urgently needed services”. His Lexus is less than 5 years old with less than 30k miles!
I have a mechanic that I've been going to for 20 years. I tell him what to do. He gets mad sometimes because he doesn't think I need it. I buy the parts , he does the work. He changed my rear wheel bearing for 57 dollars labor, I bought the bearing. I had to plead with him to change it. Then when he took it off he realized it was completely worn .lol… My kind of mechanic.
