I'm a Jeep guy, but I love the old Defenders and the Toyota FJ40 Land cruisers! They are bullet proof and can do it all. The difference is: Jeeps were made for 25% off-road and 75% on-road. Defenders and Land Cruisers were made the opposite: 75% off-road! Very rugged, fairly reliable vehicle when maintained properly. I would take the Toyota first though!
