I just looked on facebook Marketplace in my area and the 99-03 available Silverado models all have 300,000+ miles on them (still run good) and the price range is from 4000 -11,000. I'm wondering if that electric model would last 300,000 miles? Those damn electric cars are carefully designed to separate fools from their money.
A " pickup truck" has a single bench seat and a nice long open rear bed.
These things are not trucks. They're Suburbans with the third row seats and roof removed.
GM uses only one battery supplier. The batteries seem to be of the more flammable type.
I'll keep my 94 F-150 str8 6. Cheap. reliable. Runs like a sewing machine.
Too expensive! Batteries die that what they do so replacement battery cost needs to come way down! Recharge times need to come down as well. No I would not buy one of these, in fact my last Silverado bought new was a lemon/POS spent more time in the shop getting repairs then all my other vehicles put together…..
People who just want the latest on the driveway, will buy these things regardless of price. Maybe because of the price and bragging rites. But those who want a working load hauler at an affordable rate, that they don’t mind knocking or scraping past a customer’s gate post. These buyers are going to continue buying diesel & gas trucks.
