Aloha Scotty, the real problem today is that all these junior high and high schools have removed all their wood shop, metal shop and auto mechanic shop classes from the schools today.
A few years ago, I changed the front brakes of my wife’s Toyota Corolla downstairs in the underground parking and one of the building’s security officers on routine patrol stopped by to see what I was doing. This security officer has the same make and model year as my wife’s car and had just spent $465 to do the same thing that I did in less than an hour and the new brake pads on cost me $34 at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts. I didn’t need to turn the rotors because the moment I hear the indicators, I’m going straight to the auto parts store.
I love working on my own vehicles until something like what happen to Jay Leno occurs, then it’s like, I getting too old for this stuff, right?
💎This would be the correct direction in the car/automobile industry development.
A solar+gas hybrid could be the best combination/solution in the near future💎

Amen on 2500. Get a real truck if you need a truck. If you don't need a truck, get a quality car.
No more oil cooking, expensive turbo V6 to replace a solid V8. Going for CAFE, build more PHEV. No need for monster batteries in 100% EV except toys for rich guys.
My mother in law has a 3 cylinder 1.0 turbo 🇲🇽 Toyota raize. It hauls tail. I’m worried it won’t last 400K miles. She loves it. I woulda bought one if it had cruise control.
