I've NEVER used the recirculate function in any vehicle.
A jerk put skunk scent in a new car I had once. I put trays of coffee grounds in there and it worked eventually.

I tried to use an ozone generator to get rid of gasoline smell after I spilled gas in the back of my Equinox. For about 2 weeks the gas smell was replaced by the ozone smell. It took 6 months for the gas smell to dissipate by itself. I would say the ozone did not work.
Scotty do a vlog on the engine the 4.0 litre V6 in Australia there called a Toyota Prado I know you got a Indian guy to do a side vlog but can you do one bulk reliable engine just change oil go for ever friends done over 300.000 miles still going strong
Before getting the Ozone machine in the car , change the pollen filter!
Ozone is O3, three Oxygen atoms binding together. It is used in pools to replace Chlorine. But a salt water pool avoids Chlorine too. I recently did nasal infection using Ozone. It helped buy dried my eyes out so much after 20 weeks of once a week treatment, I had to stop. So Scotty's idea is good, because living organism's are killed by Ozone, and I'd guess living organisms are making the smell. Just air out the car really well after using the Ozone generator.
