make sure the body shop is up to date with I-CAR certifications, and they completely disassemble the panels they paint. Also, if they shop you choose is a DRP ( direct repair facility) with your insurance company then it’s warrantied. Shops with good paint will always guarantee it for as long as you own the car.

In NC I will fix auto body collition work correctly. I repair cars and get paid as a result. Sorry Scotty bumpers takes the same paint as bumper BUT on floppy bumper like crown vics flex additive is added to the clear to get the bumper on the car. OEM bumpers are raw and take adhesion promoter. Aftermarket bumpers are primed. 20 yrs in business 25 experience. And my son dont like it either. Lol
Should they charge to reinstall an old part the same price as a new part that doesn't fit?
The other problem is good body shops have a hard time remaining in business. Cars with no serious damage are totalled. Replacing all the electronics crap is very expensive. Case in point. A new 2020 Dodge van crushed the front passenger bumper fender grill. The bill to rebuild the van was $31000. $22000 in replaced harnesses and electronics.
