This happened to me recently with my 2007 is250. transmission started to slip and i bought this car a year ago. unfortunately when i tried looking up the service history for the car, it didn't have any. only campaigns. the bad thing is i don't have the time to get it fixed so i ended up selling it to someone that nows more about these things.

Would you recommend someone buying a car at carmax where they claim that they do a 124 checkpoint of the whole car it's obviously used?

Doesn't those v6's have that little flaw with the valve train caskets leaking oil, and the only way to get to it is to remove the engine?

Toyota owner here, now i'm really sad. 😢

Think you need to make sure oil doesn't leak through the timing chain cover from faulty sealing at the factory on those 2GRFE engines. Do your research. I hear the leak usually isn't that bad. Otherwise these engines are very solid.

Hey Scotty I had a question I have a 2009 vw jetta wagon and it has started hard shifting on take off and it does it sometimes even at forty to fifty mph and the last couple days the rpms will shoot up even when I'm not punching the throttle I'm thinking it needs a new transmission I have car shield so it's covered but does that sound like the transmission I've been watching you a long time and I trust you and the vw dealer wants to diagnose it but I think it just needs to be replaced please help single father of four this is my 3 car this year and don't want to wait until it goes completely out thank you
