The Ford Everest will be more expensive when an updated ‘2023.5’ model arrives next year, with a new Sport 4×2 variant set to join the line-up, and minor changes for other models.
- 2023 Ford Everest pricing and specifications
- Everest Sport 4×2 four-cylinder added below V6
- Production to start in March 2023
- Priced from $53,290 plus on-road costs, up $300 to $649
The 2023 Ford Everest line-up is set to expand, with a new flagship 4×2 variant alongside price increases across all model grades.
Ford Australia has advised price rises of $300 to $649 for the updated 2023.5 range, to account for mild specification changes.
It’s not clear if buyers who placed an order before the 2023.5 range announcement – but will receive a vehicle built from March 2023 – will need to pay the higher price should they choose to take delivery, however this is likely, as it is the case for a $1300 price rise revealed for the Ranger Raptor ute last week.
Current prices for the Ford Everest – which apply to Model Year 2022 vehicles – will continue to be applied to vehicles built before the end of February next year, after which time the specification changes come into effect.
Prices for the Ford Everest’s 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel Ambiente and Trend variants are set to increase by $300, with the entry-level Ambiente 4×2 starting from $53,290 plus on-road costs, while the 4×4 sits $5000 above this.
The 3.0-litre turbo-diesel V6-powered Ford Everest Sport and Platinum are set to undergo price increases of $500 and $649 respectively, pushing the flagship grade up to $77,530 plus on-road costs (including Luxury Car Tax).
In response to high demand for the Everest Sport V6, Ford has announced a rear-wheel drive Sport 4×2 variant will join the line-up from March production, with power coming from the smaller 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-diesel.
The Everest Sport 4×2 will be priced from $62,790 plus on-road costs – $6800 less than the Everest Sport 4×4, with buyers missing out on the more powerful V6 engine and all-wheel drive.
Engine outputs are unchanged for 2023, with the Ford Everest’s 2.0-litre diesel continuing to produce 154kW and 500Nm, while the V6 develops 184kW and 600Nm.
Both engines are mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, with power sent to either the rear wheels in 4×2 variants or to all four in 4×4 grades.
