MOST RECENT UPDATE: Video Reuploaded. The old man was charged and has been through the court procedure. Im not sure what the final charges came out to be but I was told that at his preliminary hearing he was charged with theft in the third degree and disorderly in the second. The video was taken down during the court process because it was an active investigation and I didnt want to impede it. I was not subpoenaed at any point and had no other responsiblitys other then getting the sheriff office a hard copy of the video of the incident. This was a crazy event thanks to everyone for the support. I will be trying to make more youtube content soon I have just been very busy in my personal life and where I live rains almost every day from fall up until late spring.
So this was a crazy event. I had finished up working on my 03 zx6r stunt bike and wanted to test it out and take my girlfriend on a test ride. I wanted to do a couple wheelies and full gear pulls to assure my issue was resolved out in a very empty country road where im not a danger to anyone but myself. I got there and dropped my girlfriend off so she could watch but not be in danger. I did one pull down the road before I noticed a man in the road. At first I thought he was retrieving his mail so I tried to go around via the opposing lane. He then moved in front of my bike, so I thought he was going back to his house so I moved to the far side of my lane and he continued to jump in front of me. I then locked up my brakes trying to stop realizing this guy was jumping in front of me and if I didn’t slow down I would have smashed into him at 40mph. Then that was that.
Police returned me my keys and told me I could press charges then or later. I have decided to press them based off peoples reactions.

I wonder if you can defend yourself with a firearm from someone who effectively prevents you from escaping a hostile situation by stealing your keys. Wouldnt this be similar to being backed into a corner?

The fact that the cops didn’t arrest him immediately they saw this video is just crazy. Damn! I’ve seen cops arrest people for just standing around, and to think this is assault and possibly attempted murder is mind boggling
You should go do wheelies by his house everyday, now that he has been charged.
The old man is crazy you did nothing wrong he did do something wrong you were just testing out your bike then the old man just stole your keys and tried to steal your bike but then went inside at least you and your girlfriend is ok
Edit: once I can drive I want to drive a bike I been watching a lot of bike videos on YouTube

Dude. Crazy people out there man. I really would lost my head if he did that. No one touches my property even after an accident. He’s lucky you are a nice guy. Wow.
