In this video I have a look at a customers 2004 Chevrolet 1500 that has a complaint of “running hot and no power.” Doesn’t take long to discover it is completely out of coolant. A $0.99 part sure can cause a lot of troubles down the road.

I love that you do post the mundane videos, because it is yet one more opportunity to watch how methodical you are – definitely learbing a lot !
Nice easy one, with no embellishments. One thing though. NYS has an annual Vehicle Inspection, which I think is an essential part of vehicle safety. That said, it is worrisome that you couldn't put it on the hoist due to (I assume) corrosion. Are these vehicles not legislated off the road ?
Kind of shocked about how calm you are about the hot coolant that blew on you. I had one of those blow jobs and cool it ain't..
Never overkill when it works lol 👍
love those trucks….. In my opinion which doesn't mean crap because opinions are like you know what… but I think those are the best trucks ever built. especially for an everyday driver. knock around truck. you know if I'm looking to do heavy duty work I'll buy a Ford or Duramax but just to knock around town. best truck ever built right there, especially if it's like a two-wheel drive with a 4.8 L manual transmission run forever
So good to see you are also an honest mechanic like me. Don't inflate the issue for profit and you will gain return customers and their friends and family too.
Chevy thunder! Take a lickin and keep on tickin!
It is strange that the Check Engine Light (stored code?) went away by fixing a coolant leak. The battery was not disconnected, nor did you clear codes with the scan tool. This is very strange.
