A couple things I've learned:
1. A tire that has no punctures but loses pressure after a pothole hit and re-inflation is on a bent rim. No new tire will fix it – a new wheel is needed.
2. The tire pressure sensor is glued to the inside of the rim. You have to install it of the new rim for it to work. Its a wireless sensor. That requires taking off the old tire, moving the sensor and then restoring the tire (whether old or new) to the rim
3. A nail puncture is much better than a sheet metal slice. But sidewall punstures can't be fixed.
