I always bought Michelins but they are just too expensive for me now. I switched to Cooper tires and have been very satisfied with them.
I got GT tires GiTi Rubber Singaporean company been making tires forever , they have a plant in South Carolina , mine were made in Indonesia NOT China , they handle great and stick in the rain. $60 shipped before the inflation started. 205/50/16 They went up to $101 for a while so I saved 40 dollars each.

if you want to keep the car forever, it must be equipped with a manual transmission. And as Scotty said no rust on it.
I have no doubt that Stellantis's crap control on ICEs is not a coincidence; gotta have an ICE problem before you can convince sheep that EVs are the way to go.
Years ago when I was looking for a car, I drove a 190 E 2.3. "Dog" doesn't begin to describe the acceleration, if you can even call it that.
btw, I seriously doubt we're all going to "switch to electric" (vehicles). Soon as this puppet admistration is out, so is the push for electric.
How about Toyo tyres which are made in Japan?
