When it comes to engine swaps and performance upgrades for an insanely high horsepower output, Honda’s K24 engine has been one of the most popular choices after the 2JZ. The K24 is a high-performance engine found in 2004-2008 Acura TLX, among other popular Honda cars. This drag race video from Hoonigan between a K24-swapped ‘93 Civic Hatchback and a stock McLaren 620R shows just how venerable that K24 engine can be. We have previously encountered a superfast 1,085-horsepower Civic that gives a hard time to a tuned Audi TT RS,
but this race will be different. The stock McLaren is no slouch, and given that it is a supercar, it is not only fast but also a lot slipperier than the Civic.
