In a previous video ( I had a look at a customers 2014 Ford Focus that came in with a customer complaint of no headlight operation, or panel dimmer and no trunk release button. My attitude went south once I discovered the rats nest of addons under the dash so I needed to walk a way for a bit. Good thing I did because we discovered the real “rats nest.” -Enjoy!

Gotta get the 90 degree crimping pliers. I’ve got them and they sure come in handy in situations like that.

I can relate well. I am a transmission tech in a dealership and it happens to me a lot. One example I had an older Grand Am come in. It had been to 2 other shops. The one shop rebuilt the transmission. The other shop installed a torque converter. Not sure why he did not take it back to the first shop. I road tested the vehicle. There was nothing wrong with the transmission. It had a horrible engine miss under load when the torque converter clutch come on. I got back to the shop and grabbed the number 1 plug wire. It fell apart in my hand. Replaced the plug wire and plug. Fortunately it did not destroy the coil. Fixed. The customer called us every name in the book. We did not know what we doing blah blah blah. I showed him the plug wire and the carbon tracked plug. Seriously, I only charged him 1 hour labor plus parts and he stilled bitched about it. Sometimes, you just can't win. There are days I just want to quite.

When a car has a mouse nest with urine in it, what do you do about the urine to prevent the smell from re-attracting the critters? ?

Yea it would be nice if customers came to you 1st. Instead they go to the hacks who of course hack it up cause they really don't know how to fix it. Don't blame you at all for being pissy once in a while. In a case like that you should walk away or charge a premium for doing things right. Good day sir.
